Faved now turns the pages you save into structured records

Authors

A bookmark tells you where something is. It doesn't tell you what you found there: the price of those headphones, how long the recipe takes, what the job pays. Until now you had to open the page again to find out.

Faved now turns the pages you save into structured records. Every page gets a type, each type has its own fields, and Faved can read the page and fill those fields in for you.

Types, fields and Extract are available in Faved Cloud. Self-hosted Faved stays open source and free, and you can move a library between the two through export and import.

Types and fields

A type says what kind of thing a page is, and decides which fields it carries. Start from a preset, such as Product, Recipe, Job posting, Real estate listing, Article or Event, or build your own from scratch.

A field can hold text, a number with a unit (€, kg, min), a date, a checkbox, a link, or one or more options from a list you define. Fields can also be global, so every record has them whatever its type, which is handy for things like a Project, or Home and Work.

Extract: let Faved fill in the details

When you save a page, Extract reads it and fills in the fields you picked: the price and rating of a product, the ingredients of a recipe, the salary of a job posting. Select fields are matched to the options you already have, and a short hint on a field can steer what it looks for.

Extract can also write a short summary, keep the page's content as clean Markdown, and take a screenshot. Got a backlog? Select any number of records and extract them all at once in the background.

A view for every type

Each type keeps its own columns and filters. Products line up with their price, brand and rating; recipes with their cuisine and prep time. Filter by any field and sort by any value, such as the cheapest first or the best rated.

Save from anywhere

Whatever you're doing on the web, saving is a click or a tap away: the Chrome extension, the bookmarklet in any browser, the Apple Shortcut on iPhone, iPad and Mac, Android share, or the Add button in the app. Every one of them opens the same form, with Extract ready to go.

Already have a library elsewhere? Import your bookmarks from any browser, Raindrop.io or Pocket, and export them any time.

Plans

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial of every feature and 50 AI credits to try extraction on. No credit card is required.

  • Basic: $5 a month or $48 a year, with 100 AI credits a month.
  • Plus: $20 a month or $192 a year, with 500 AI credits a month.
  • Lifetime: $120 once, with 100 AI credits every month.

One AI credit is one page put through the AI to fill your custom fields. Fetching a page's title, description and preview image, keeping its content, taking a screenshot and writing a summary are free. Records, fields and types are unlimited on every plan. See Plans and AI credits for the details.
