Save to Faved with the new Chrome extension

Authors

The Faved Chrome extension is now available in the Chrome Web Store.

Previously, the fastest way to save a link was the bookmarklet. It served its purpose, but a dedicated browser extension makes saving faster and more reliable — one click from the toolbar, and the page is added to the library.

Save any page in one click

Clicking the Faved icon on any page saves it directly to the account. A keyboard shortcut is also available — Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+S opens the save popup without requiring the mouse.

Tag, note, and stay organized while saving

Saving is not limited to capturing a URL. From the popup, users can:

  • Add tags — place the page into the existing nested tag structure, so it is organized before it reaches the library.
  • Add a note — record context or a reminder while it is still top of mind.
  • Catch duplicates — if a page has already been saved, Faved surfaces this, keeping the library free of redundant entries.

Everything saved flows into the same library users already rely on, fully searchable, filterable, and organizable in the Faved web app exactly as before. The extension simply provides the fastest way in.

Works wherever Faved runs

The extension integrates seamlessly with any existing setup, whether on Faved Cloud or a self-hosted instance.
